100 Female Artists
Every week we will create a small 4” x 6” postcard in the art style and medium of the current week’s artist. We’ll be using Women in Art a postcard series available from Amazon, but it isn’t necessary to purchase them. I’ll demonstrate the postcard every week as well as the art materials. Tune into our first class on Monday, March 6 at 6:00 pm.
Week 2
Guan Daosheng
A Chinese poet and painter
I will be demonstrating how to use a bamboo brush for illustrating and lettering in the style of Chinese calligraphy.
You will need:
Heavy stock paper 4" x 6"
A bamboo brush or any natural hair brush that has a broad body of hair, but with a fine tip.
Watercolors in tones of brown & green
4 x 6 watercolor postcard
