Event Details
Fifty years ago this month, on April 30, 1975, ex-pats and Vietnamese allies were evacuated from the rooftops of South Vietnam.
Dr. Edward Tassinari, a lifelong Eastchester resident, veteran, and Professor Emeritus of History at SUNY Maritime College, will walk us through this conflict-torn landscape—from the French defeat at Điện Biên Phủ in 1954 through the fall of Saigon in 1975—with commentary on significant milestones and the legacies that remain with us.
