Enter YPL’s Literary Pumpkin Decorating Contest!
Decorate a pumpkin as a book character or with a literary theme.
October 16 to October 21: Drop off your pumpkin at the Children's Desk and fill out an entry form. One entry per person.
October 23 to October 28: All pumpkins will be on display in the Children’s Department. Stop by and vote for your favorite pumpkin!
Winners will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.
Contest Rules:
- The library cannot accept carved pumpkin submissions. Only painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered into the contest.
- One winner will be chosen from each of the following age categories:
- young kids (ages 7 and under)
- tween (ages 8-12)
- teens (ages 13-17)
- adults (ages 18 and up)
- All pumpkins must be picked up by 5pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Pumpkins that are not picked up by this time will be disposed of.
