Yonkers Public Library's Riverfront Art Gallery hosts a celebration of Pride Month on Saturday, June 15 with an opening reception of its new exhibit Radical Joy from 2:00 - 5:00pm. Featuring work by various artists, this exhibit is curated by Haifa Bint-Kadi and will run from June 15, 2024 - August 23, 2024.
What the world needs now is Radical Joy! This exhibition features queer-identified artists whose work is centered around the radical act of expressing queer joy. Through laser engraved mirrors, felt sculptures, portraiture, and more we see how artists disrupt socially constructed binary categories of gender, sexuality, and relationships through the radical notions of love doing, making, and being.
