Yonkers Public Library's Riverfront Art Gallery hosts the opening reception of its new exhibit Within/Without on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. Featuring work by various artists, this exhibit is curated by Haifa Bint-Kadi and will run from September 7, 2024 - November 22, 2024.
Within/Without is an exhibit that explores visual storytelling and how what we create reflects deeper underlying personal narratives. Art has historically been used as a means of visual storytelling, and through these stories we can better understand ourselves and the world around us. We are showcasing work that draws upon memory, experience and storytelling to visually communicate the personal experiences of each artist conveying the humanistic power of art that inspires us to see the world through the lens of personal narratives. Curated by Haifa Bint-Kadi.
