Patricia is a lifelong Yonkers resident and mother of two daughters, Kelly and Caitlin, who graduated from Montessori 27 ES, Mark Twain MS, and Museum MS. She is a retired educator of 37 years, 30 of which were spent teaching Science in the Mount Vernon School District. During this time, she also served as Middle School Vice President for 15 years in the Mount Vernon Federation of Teachers.
Presently Patricia serves as Treasurer for Mount Vernon Federation of Teachers Retiree Council and as Corresponding Secretary for the County Waterford Association of New York. In addition, Patricia volunteers as a GED Coach with RSVP of Westchester with Westchester Library System and as a Greeter at Gilda’s Club of Westchester, at White Plains Hospital Cancer Center, and at Untermyer Gardens. A strong part of her educational platform has always involved the use of library resources and facilities to increase knowledge and foster a love of literature.
