Welcome to “Let’s Get Learning!” Over the next few weeks, we’ll spotlight several digital learning resources that you can use for free with your Yonkers Public Library card.No matter what you’re looking to learn, there’s a YPL resource for you!
If you’re looking to learn a new skill in a course-structured format, then Gale Courses is for you!
Gale Courses has over 360 instructor-led courses available in a wide variety of subjects, such as:
- Accounting and Finance
- Business
- College Readiness
- Computer Applications
- Design and Composition
- Healthcare and Medical
- Language and Arts
- Law and Legal
- Personal Development
- Teaching and Education
- Technology
- Writing and Publishing
Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin each month. You can expect to spend about two to four hours each week on your lessons, so you can learn around your own schedule.
Expert instructors develop and lead each course to create engaging lessons for you and your fellow learners. You can interact with your professors and other students in online discussions and support your learning along the way.
When you complete a course with a passing score, you’ll also earn a certificate of completion.
