Summertime is the perfect time for a getaway! There are plenty of vacation destinations around the world and across the country. If you’re looking for more of a “staycation”, there is fun to be found close to home!
There are plenty of beautiful hiking trails for both experienced hikers and first timers. There are trails across the Hudson Valley and Westchester County, but there are some beautiful spots to explore in Yonkers as well. The Bronx River Pathway can be found right near the Crestwood Branch, and there are many parks across Yonkers that are perfect for an afternoon outside.
By the way, hiking is a perfect way to fill out your YPL Seed Library Bingo Card!
