Convert your home movies to digital for free at the library.
The VHS conversion cart is available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 2 hours at both the Riverfront and Will Libraries. This is a DIY station with instructions available to follow. You must provide a Yonkers or other Westchester library card to the reference desk to request the cart. Conversions are done in the main reading area. Remember to bring a flash drive with you with ample space to save your movie. You may also save movies to your Google Drive or other cloud storage service but you must know your password. Conversions are done in real time—meaning a 90-minute VHS takes 90 minutes to convert. Copyrighted material may not be converted. Movies must be personal/home movies.
