Mixed-Media Mondays VIRTUAL

Every Monday we'll be exploring a different technique or a unique art project. It might be abstract painting, gel plate printing, bookbinding, or working with fabrics. We will also be learning journaling techniques for journals that we make! No matter what we create, this class is designed to inspire us to unleash our creativity as we explore art in a safe and supportive environment.

TODAY we're making envelope folios.

You will need a recycled envelope with a small window preferred, but not necessary.

2 pieces of decorative paper a little bigger than the height and length of your envelope.

2 pieces of plain paper a tad shorter than the length and height of your envelope.

Waxed linen thread or embroidery floss or kitchen string.

A bone folder or credit card

Glue made for paper or a glue stick

Scissors

A ruler

An awl or something to punch holes with.

Some supplies will include:

Sturdy paper like Bristol board and watercolor paper

Various inks

Various acrylic  paints

Black and white gesso

Drawing pencils

Black markers with thin tips

Collage papers

A good paper glue like Yes or Glitter Glue

A gluestick

Watercolors

Large needle and waxed thread for bookbinding

Various brushes

Ink pads
